Diageo, Jonathan Van Ness and Ted Danson
Smirnoff rolled out a series of LGBT ads for Pride, this one featuring Queer Eye star Jonathan Van Ness. Others include Orange Is the New Black actress Laverne Cox and Dancing Queen and RuPaul's Drag Race star Alyssa Edwards.
Endorser Ted Danson walks through the lawn of a party and says to the camera, "Smirnoff knows you don't need a lot to have a good time." Walking up to the bar, he touches Jonathan Van Ness' back and orders two from the bartender. She serves up two martinis the size of a mouse.
Offering the second to Jonathan, he replies, "Oh, I'm still nursing this one, bubby." (A Yiddish term of endearment.) "Bubby?! My mom used to call me that!" says Danson with surprise. They laugh.
