WHERE SUCCESSFUL ADVERTISING MEETS LGBT EQUALITY

Anheuser-Busch InBev, Join the Bud Light Party-Gay Weddings

Members:

Part of "The Bud Light Party" series that spoofs the election season and featuring Amy Schumer and Seth Rogen, this campaign runs on The Ellen Show's social channels and appeared on the Super Bowl.

"The Bud Light Party here, celebrating Steve and Greg's wedding," says Amy Shumer in a reporting-style voice.

Seth Rogen chimes in, more stand-up-comedy-style, "Gay weddings, they're just like any wedding: you've got cringeworthy speeches..." "Girl who's SUPER ready to settle down," adds Shumer. "And cake!" Rogen says, his mouth full, adding, "Bud Light proudly supports everyone's right to marry WHOEVER they want!" The two toast: "To the groom! And groom!"

For a gay male wedding, the scenes have a peculiar over-abundance of women on camera throughout.

Alex Lambrecht, VP of Bud Light at Anheuser-Busch, told Adweek in a statement: "By featuring Seth and Amy at a same-sex wedding, we're showing how all weddings—regardless of who is getting married—share many similarities and moments to celebrate. We created this spot because equality for all Americans is a concept that unites many Bud Light drinkers."

Great, funny ad, with handsome grooms that supports marriage regardless of gender.
