Two older men holds hands as they walk down the beach, depicted in black and white.

Movies of them when they were young and sexy appear in color, showing them on the beach, in boats from years past and in romantic Venice, Italy, together. Modern clips of them on a boat and at home being affectionate are interspersed. Their daily lives are shown, washing dishes together.

At the end, the give each other a big kiss on the beach.

The tagline is, "Shouldn't everyone grow old with someone?"

It is a touching ad about a real-life couple, each over 70 years old, who had been together for 40 years. The commercial, which ran on Viacom-owned networks such as Comedy Central and E!, is a rare look at mature gay men and a lengthy, committed relationship.

To live the truth and perservere through some of those most turbulent years is testiment that love conquers all. This ad brought back a little hope that just maybe, in my world of circuit parties and naked men, I can find someone to make wonderful memories with.

This is an exquisite scenerio. As someone who did live with his partner for just shy of 55yrs when he passed, and am now an ageing man alone, I think its time these young people to realize that we as seniors do have lives together and its about love and commmittment, not just about sex. We do love and do live (at least we did) monogamous lives. Happy in the knowledge we had each other regardless of what life threw at us, old age is hell alone and worse when you know what real love is all about through living it.

I am lucky to have a relationship like the one portrayed in the commercial. My partner and I have known each other for about 15 years and have been together for 5 years. We are lucky to have family, friends and co workers that see us as normal. Watching this commercial, made me cry because it reminded me of what I have to look forward to and it is wonderful!

This commercial is incredible, it made me cry because it gives hope to me that it is possible to be aged with the person that you will love all your life.

This ad is absolutely amazing! Most people think that gay/bi men cannot hold any lengthy relationships, this proves it wrong.

This ad strikes the deepest chord, asking a question to which there can only be one answer. It's impossible
not to be moved by it.

Simply beautiful -- and so nice to see something that portrays mature gay men in a positive light. (from the editor of the Gray Gay Guide www.graygay.com)
