In Arabic, the text reads, "There's crime and there's love." Then, "Based on the words of Pope Francis... 'Homosexuality is not a crime.' Yes to the abolition of Article 534 of the Penal Code, which criminalizes homosexuality."

The owner of MTV Lebanon, Michel Gabriel El Murr, a Lebanese politician and businessman, supports ending the national law criminalizing LGBTQ+ people.

(An anit-LGBTQ organization Muyul, produced a nearly identical commercial telling viewers, "There's a crime that kills a human, while there's a crime that kills a community. Yes to keep law number 534 and protect the Lebanese family and community's values."
