Simon and his sister stumble home from a party, with his parents still awake in the living room.

"He's wearing a woman's sweater and he's drunk," the dad says to his wife. "Well, he didn't drive drunk and he's home before curfew," mom replies as a positive counterbalance. "We're good parents" the father says seeking affirmation from his wife, and she agrees.

"My name is Simon. For the most part, my life is totally normal," he introduces. "I'm just like you, except I have one huge-ass secret. Nobody knows I'm gay."

But he continues, "I'm done living in a world where I don't get to be who I am. I deserve a great love story. And I want someone to share it with."

He ends with, "Disclaimer: this is about to get romantic as F" as he goes in for a kiss with another boy.
