Betty DeGeneres, the mother of actress Ellen DeGeneres, says, "My kid is the greatest. You know her, she's Ellen, and she's gay. For too long, gay Americans have suffered discrimination."
As she speaks, she's assisted by children with building blocks to build a wall with an American flag on it. "As long as our sons and daughters are excluded from the basic protection of law, we must share that burden as a family."
Together with the children, they all say, "So let's not waste one child and let them all reach for the stars."
An effective, warm commercial that reaches out to other mothers by using a cuddly, famous mom and cute kids, all wrapped in the American flag.

I saw this ad ages ago... I think it was during Ellen's "Coming Out" episode. I loved the commercial then and I still love it now. Definetely woth a positive rating in my book.
