The words "Tom, The Token Gay Friend" appear on the screen and are read by a voiceover. One man is leaning on a car that the other man is working on. Tom approaches and he says, "Neat." One of the straight men says, "Yeah, she's nice, huh?" Tom continues, "You assign a gender identity to the car?" and the man working on the car replies, "Yeah, she's sweet, huh?"

Tom inquires, "Does it bother you guys that gender identity is not included in most non-discrimination laws?" The men are silent. The voiceover continues, "Nice try, Tom. Try joining the Human Rights Campaign for help bringing friends and family to a more enlightened place."
