WHERE SUCCESSFUL ADVERTISING MEETS LGBT EQUALITY

Intel Corp., Look Inside - Jack Andraka

Members:

This ad tells the amazing story of Jack Andraka, a 15-year-old whiz-kid who was just a high school sophomore when he invented an inexpensive early detection test for pancreatic cancer.

"But what did I know?" Jack asks in voiceover. "I was too young to understand things like cancer or how to test for it... One hundred and ninety-nine experts told me that I was too young -- that they didn't have time for my little science project."

The ad notes that his test was "168 times faster, 400 times more sensitive and 26,000 times less expensive than the medical standard."

Andraka (openly gay since age 13) won the prestigious Gordan E. Moore award at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair and a $75,000 prize for his groundbreaking research.
