A young man sits with his sister and parents at a kitchen table as he nervously practices from notes what he will say in Chinese to his grandmother who will soon visit them in America from China. "I think you're ready," he mother says, as the doorbell rings. His sister grabs a handful of Oreos from the table to stress eat and runs out.
Before meeting his grandmother, the son finds a handwritten addition to his note from his mother that reads "She might be my mother but you are my SON."
The closing caption reads, "Coming out doesn't happen just once."
