WHERE SUCCESSFUL ADVERTISING MEETS LGBT EQUALITY

Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, Now and Then

Members:

Two women stand outside the Bellagio Hotel, in front of its famous dancing fountains. One covers the eyes of the other and says teasingly, "Wait for it, wait for it..."

Then, one happily says to the other, "Let's get married." Her partner says, "Yeah right, on what planet?"

After the text reads "Now and then," indicating a bit of history, the first one continues, "I"m serious, we knew we'd get married on the night we met. We met here. Let's get married here. Tonight. It's Las Vegas!"

The women have a fun night together, kissing and enjoying the city.

Later, they appear to stumble onto a wedding and the first one suggests they go in. "It's a wedding, it's fate. Let's just peek."

Awkwardly she goes in, and tears come to her face as she slowly realizes that it's HER wedding, with all of their friends and family there. Again, her partner whispers into her ear, "Let's get married!"

Her partner, happy but still unsure, says, "I can't -- my parents." The first says, "Call them." The phone rings -- inside the room, because her parents were hidden. "Dad? Mom?" She sees them, turns to her partner and shouts, "Let's get married!!" They kiss and everyone applauds.

The tagline: Destiny happens here.
