Campbell Soup Co., Your Father

Members:

Mocking the breathing apparatus sound and the voice of Darth Vader, a man says to his son while feeding him a spoonful of soup, "Cooper, I am your father!"

Then, from the boy's other side, another man says to his son with another spoon of soup, "No, no, no -- I am your father!"

The first father playfully says to the other, "That's gotta be the worst Vader ever. How about you be Chewbacca?" The other replies in the trademark sound of that Star Wars character.

The tagline: "Made for Real, Real Life."

The spot features real-life couple David Monahan and Larry Sullivan with their son. Yin Woon Rani, Campbell's VP-marketing activation, told Advertising Age that the company wants to show a diverse mix of American families and to add a "a wink and a smile" to the brand's messaging.

"Our goal was to sort of take what Campbell's has always been about and convey it in a fresher way," Ms. Rani said of the 146-year old brand. "We want people to understand what we're about but also give us a fresh look at the same time."
