Mars Inc., Marilyn Super Bowl 50 Teaser

Members:

In honor of the Super Bowl's 50th anniversary, Snickers has a web teaser that is meant to echo the moment when Marilyn Monroe sang "Happy Birthday, Mr. President" for John F. Kennedy at a celebration of his 45th birthday in 1962.

But as the shadowy figure approaches the microphone and pulls down the fur coat off her shoulders, a gravely bass, male-sounding voice comes out instead. Although we can't see him, it's Willem Dafoe. And the words "Mr. President" are replaced in the song with "Mr. Super Bowl." Then he trails off and simply leaves the stage to a smattering of confused applause. We're confused too.

The full version of the Marilyn Monroe ad, with Willem Dafoe in full too, appears on the Super Bowl.
