Nokia, Coffee Shop Date

Members:

Two men are on what seems to be a date. The camera shoots them separately to make it seem as if they are sitting across from each other. However, they make their orders separately and they get served separately.

As they are gazing and smiling at each other, one of the men averts his gaze to the side as if distracted by something. Curious as to what he may be looking at, his date turns around to discover that he is looking at a woman. He turns back to his date with a playful smirk and throws a packet of sugar at him. As the camera cuts back to the other man, we see that it is not his face but instead his image through a camera phone.

The tagline is "3G turns a move into a movement." Cut to the date moving the phone away from the view of the woman.

Although the relationship of these two men are not clearly stated, it is obvious by their gaze and body language that it is more than friendship. This Nokia 6280 portrays their relationship as cute, playful and most importantly normal. For this, the commercial receives a Positive rating.

Nokia also has a similar commercial for the same phone in German. Although the two commercials share the same concept, the same song (Belly Rollercoaster) and the same actor (the date that gets jealous), instead the couple in this commercial is heterosexual.

I think these two men are just good friends.
