H.J. Heinz, Mother's Visit

Members:

A mother comes to visit her daughter, and as soon as she gets out of the cab, she finds her daughter kissing her girlfriend on the front stoop.

The mother pays no attention to this and goes right into her daughter's apartment. The kitchen is a dirty mess. The mother is less than thrilled, until she finds a cutting board full of vegetables and a pot of soup on the stove.

"She gone to all that trouble for me," the mother says. The daughter comes in the kitchen and is surprised by how overly affectionate her mother is.

The scene cuts to a few moments before her mother arrives. The daughter is cutting carrots. She puts down her knife, opens the cupboard, and takes down a package of Heinz Carrot and Orange soup.

She pours the contents of the package into boiling water. "Right," she says, "that covers Mom." She take the chopped carrot and places it on a place. "Now for Colin."

The daughter takes the carrots outside and places them in front Colin, her pet rabbit.

The camera cuts to a close up of the Heinz soup package, while the words, "There's a little bit of Heinz in everyone," appear on screen.
