WHERE SUCCESSFUL ADVERTISING MEETS LGBT EQUALITY

Toyota Motor Corp., Girlfriend

Members:

A father and daughter are sitting on the front porch.

The father says to his daughter, "Your mother tells me you're in love." The daughter answers, "Yeah." He asks, "Is he like all the rest of em?" The daughter replies with a sigh, "No."

A sporty blue Corolla squeals up to the curb. Just on this information alone, the father announces, "I like him!" He gets up to go into the house.

The daughter opens the car door and looks in, a woman is waiting for her. They have a quick kiss and drive off. The campaign includes a variety of endings, all the rest with various types of males, a geek, a rocker, etc.

Everyone loves this because it is Toyota. Ford puts an ad in a gay publication and everyone calls for a boycoy of Ford. If Ford ran this commercial, they would run out of business.

Good thinkin' Toyota!

On what channels is this commercial running? LOGO TV? I've never seen it. Well, clearly, Japan has more balls than America and the so-called "American" automakers, who enjoy making their cars in Canada, China and Mexico while Nissan and Toyota love making them in America. They also seem more willing to approve more creative work than their American counterparts.

We just bought a Toyoto Avalon. We love the car but are very disappointed about this particular ad. I am sad to see that a more creative ad was not shown and that any car company would promote their product using this theme.
