Virginia Foxx for Congress, Proud Conservative

Members:

Narration says, "This election is not a popularity contest. It's about who can get the job done."

In a husky, raspy voice, Foxx, who was running for the 5th Congressional District in North Carolina, says, "I'm a conservative and don't make any bones about it."

While showing Foxx sitting with several children and their mothers, the narrator continues, "She sponsored the bill in the state senate to prevent gay marriages. Virginia Foxx opposed every state tax increase ever introduced. And supported cuts and income taxes, sales taxes, and taxes on businesses."

Over text that reads "proven conservative record," she asks, "Does experience count? You bet it does."

State Sen. Foxx won against Surry County Commissioner Jim Harrell Jr. in the 5th Congressional District, keeping the seat in Republican hands and becoming the first woman to represent the district.

Foxx replaced U.S. Rep. Richard Burr, the five-term Republican incumbent who won election to the U.S. Senate.
