WHERE SUCCESSFUL ADVERTISING MEETS LGBT EQUALITY

With all the excited family members watching in a church, a priest at a wedding says to the couple, "Since then you agree to live together in matrimony, have pledged your love to each other by these vows, I by the authority vested in me by the state and the church declare you husband and husband. You may now kiss the groom."

The two men pull in to kiss (but it is not actually shown).

Narration adds, "Until the world is a little more like this, we're here."

They should have shown the kiss and then ran the voice over while the couple is kissing. Also, without getting rid of the kiss, they could have added an insert of the organization's name and web page.

The fact that they have a male clergyperson rather than a female clergy person is quite ironic since they are trying to end stereotypical misconceptions. This commercial would be a lot better if they, even in subtle ways, confronted the evils of sexism along with homophobia.
