No on Knight/Prop 22, More Government Interference

A man in his living room addresses the camera, "Prop 22? It's just more government interference. Pete Knight, the California politician behind Prop 22, may not like it that his son is gay but he shouldn't make us vote on his private problem. Especially since gay marriage is already banned and extremists are just going to use Prop 22 to discriminate against gay people. Most people don't support gay marriage, but we do support keeping government out of people's private lives. That's a value I'm teaching my kids by voting no on 22."

The initiative was a limit on gay marriage, and known as the Knight Initiative for the state legislator who introduced it. The ballot initiative passed, 61% to 39%.
