Dr Pepper Snapple Group, Mix It Up A Little

Members:

The "perfect" husband and wife are holding a pool party. The announcer says, "You know 7Up goes great with punch, but try mixing it with fresh cut fruit and sangria. It's the perfect drink for when you go raving in the desert." Suddenly, they are transported to Burning Man

"Like that time you told your wife you were at the regional sales conference," the announcer says. Both the wife and husband look at each other and say "What?" The announcer "helpfully" says to the husband, "Remember, last march, with Steve..." The husband looks nervously at the camera and motions to cut it out.

"Or use it to make a white wine spritzer," says the announcer. The husband and wife are now transported to a small yacht, with the wife in the lap of rapper, and the husband daintily situated in the lap of a large bearded muscle man. "Perfect for hanging out with 2 Chainz," the announcer adds. The wife now seems quite comfortable with the arrangement and says to him, "I love your rap music." 2 Chainz says, "I have a helicopter."

Meanwhile, the husband says, "We should be going." The muscleman asks, "You don't like boats?"

The announcer jumps in again, saying, "I like boats! And I love all these 7Up mixed drinks!"

Surprisingly, this troubled ad was produced by Deutsch, who created one of the best and earliest commercials to include gay men, for Ikea in 1994.
