WHERE SUCCESSFUL ADVERTISING MEETS LGBT EQUALITY

Kinsey Distilling Company, The Unhurried Whiskey

Members:

Two men are relaxing outside, one in a hammock and one on a lawn chair. The man in the chair is looking intently at the other.

The ad is Gay Vague because the man in the lawn chair's body language and his intense stare are suggestive. If the ad were more recent, the innuendo might not be as strong. It is also intriguing that the brand name is the same as the famous researcher Alfred Kinsey, "Sexual Behavior in the Human Male," released in the same year, 1948, that shocked the world to discover the frequency of same-sex relations.
