Antwerp Television, Sterke Verhalen/Strong Tales
This newspaper advertisement for Antwerp Television shows two gay men French kissing and fondling each other while pulling each other's pants down in an alley -- one already has his shirt off, and the other wears a sailor cap.
On the wall behind them, they cast a shadow that is a character from Antwerp legend that used to frighten people, especially at night.
The headline says, "No stronger story than your own." Accompanying text reads, "In Antwerp you find a story under each stone, behind each angle/corner. All those stories together make the wealth and history of our city. Take now "Lange Wapper," the mysterious canker spirit of our city, he was always there to scare people who didn't behave themselves. Nowadays things don't scare us that much anymore...
"ATV considers it a privilege to cover these unique stories, it is finally our reason of existence. We bring you every day your story. And what comes tomorrow we will see, together." (The story ATV refers to is the annual NaviGAYtion party in Antwerp.)
