The ad isn't homophobic at all. It's simply saying that Irn-Bru is so good that people will do anything for it. Some easily offended people really need to calm down and realize that just because somebody jokes about being gay doesn't mean it's the end of the world. This ad is British humor at its best and long may it continue.

What are they implying in the ad? That being straight is good? "This beer is so good that you'll be good and go straight" This is a horribly homophobic ad.

Chris
Irn Bru have long made a habit of being controversial with their usually very funny ads. Whilst this is far from their best in terms of humour, it should not be seen as homophobic. The four young men, clearly presented as yet another talentless boy-band, are simply saying that the taste of Irn Bru is worth doing anything for. To read deeper into it is to look for bigotry where there is none.

Adam
This ad was a little confusing. Is this a boy band? Certainly the lad in the middle looks like Nick Carter of Backstreet Boys. Are they branding pop-music gay, and thus tying this to their product, which is being aimed at straight men? Are they trying to catch a gay market? This is an extremely ambiguous piece of advertising.
