De'Longhi S.p.A., Soup

Members:

An old man and woman sit placidly eating their soup when they hear people next door.

A man cries out, "Wait! Please don't leave me, wait, wait, hold on...I know I messed up. Do you still love me?"

The old man and woman smile mildly with interest at the drama they get to listen to. The woman even prompts the man to turn down their radio to better hear the dialogue.

Then comes the answer, from a gruff man, "Of course I love ya, sweety." The man then turns and comically spits his soup out.

The gruff man continues, "But I hate it when you go shopping in your belly dancing clothes." The woman turns and spits her soup out.

"I can't help it, it's a habit I picked up from my dad..." Then the two both spit their soup out -- all over the floor.

The sell for the wet-dry vacuum cleaner then shows that it can clean up on many surfaces.

This over-the-top ad is hardly serious, but is a classic example of putting same-sex relationships in as the twist for shock value.

This ad is done in very poor taste. I think the company MUST know that by now.
