Dublin Bus, The Long Road To Pride
"When I grew up, I didn't know I was gay because there was no word. I had never heard of the word," says an older man, one of several LGBT people interviewed in their homes. Another man says, "I was in hospital. I just said to the doctor I couldn't live without affection. And he said to me, 'What right do you have to affection?' "
Then, several younger LGBT people visit them in their homes and to convince them to join them to Dublin Pride for their first time. They all accept, and the younger new friends all help them get decked out in feather boas, face paint and other rainbow gear.
A rainbow-painted double-decker bus shows up in front of their homes and they all ride off to the parade for the first time.
