Friends of Jimmy Naifeh, Jimmy Gets It Done

Members:

"A real fighter, for us," begins this ad for House Representative James Naifeh, the Democratic nominee for District 81 in Tennessee. Naifeh is pictured holding a flag with a group of children who all wear white shirts.

"Jimmy Naifeh, our representative and Speaker of the House," says a narrator, "securing Haywood and Tipton county. Millions for healthcare, our schools, and jobs." Naifeh sits outdoors, possibly in front of a general store or barber shop, with three other men.

"Jimmy gets it done," says a baseball-capped man with a southern drawl in a button-down shirt.

Naifeh talks to a group of elderly people as the narrator says: "Naifeh. Working with governor Bredesen to balance the budget without raising taxes."

"Go get 'em, Jimmy," says an older man.

"Naifeh. Against partial birth abortions and gay marriage," says the narrator, as Naifeh recites the Pledge of Allegiance with the white-shirted children.

"Jimmy gets it done!" says a young black man.

Naifeh is pictured at a restaurant with friends. "Jimmy Naifeh, getting it done, for us," says the narrator.

"Jimmy gets it done," announces another elderly man.

"Get 'er done, Jimmy," two young girls exclaim as they nervously walk past the camera.

Naifeh won the race against Republican Jesse James Cannon in 2004. As of January 2005, Democrat Jimmy Naifeh is the longest-serving House speaker in Tennessee's history.
