McHenry for Congress, Hard-Working Conservative

Members:

"Our next Congressman has a big job," says a narrator. "Republican Patrick McHenry has a plan."

McHenry, the Republican nominee for Congress in the 10th District of North Carolina, stands outdoors in a circle of people, as the narrator outlines his plan: "Fair trade policy to protect North Carolina's manufacturing jobs," she says, as the crowd nods their heads in agreement.

"We just want people to abide by the same rules that we did," says McHenry.

"Patrick McHenry cut wasteful spending in Washington and stands up for traditional marriage and family values," says the narrator. McHenry is shown sitting a desk, then outside speaking. When traditional marriage is mentioned, a woman is shown beaming at the Congressman.

"Businessman. Legislator. Patrick McHenry, a hard-working, commonsense conservative," says the narrator as McHenry sits at his desk and walks casually with friends. Then, in a shot reminiscent of reality television, McHenry is shown driving in his car while talking on a cell phone.

"Patrick McHenry, Republican for Congress."

With 64% of the vote, McHenry won the race against Democratic candidate Anne Fischer. McHenry turned 29 two weeks before the 2004 election, making him the youngest member of the 109th Congress.
