DeMint for Senate Committee, Protect the Sanctity of Marriage and Life

Members:

Speaking to an audience with gusto, South Carolina Republican for U.S. Senate candidate in the Fourth District Jim DeMint says, "If we're going to protect the jobs of the future, we need to get the politicians, the bureaucrats, and the lawyers to stop sucking the life out of American businesses.

"We need to let every terrorist know that if they hurt America, that there is no hole deep enough for them that they can hide from American justice.

Showing a family going kite-flying, he says "And we don't need to redefine marriage to make sure everyone has equal rights, we've got to protect the sanctity of marriage and recognize and protect the sanctity of life."

DeMint won 54% of the vote against state Education Superintendent Inez Tenenbaum, a Democrat, and filled the seat vacated by retiring Democrat Sen. Ernest F. "Fritz" Hollings.
