WHERE SUCCESSFUL ADVERTISING MEETS LGBT EQUALITY

MySimon.com, Lingerie

Members:

A man sits in his office as several sales people appear in front of him, offering him various items.

The announcer says, "MySimon.com. It's a lot like this."

Then several women, an Arabic man and others offer the sitting man various lingerie items, which he is presumably shopping around for his spouse.

In the closing joke, a balding, overweight man actually models one of the nightly garments -- with purple feathers -- for the office buyer and says, "This will look a lot better on your wife than it does on me."

At the end the man modeling lingerie says, "This will look a lot better on your wife than it does on me." That's an opinion, not a fact. Some people would feel it looks better on him than the wife. I think this ad was not only "trans-themed", but "gay-themed", and "man on the side", perhaps even "bi-themed", because the man apparently wanted to see a man in the lingerie. Hence, the male shopper appears to have an attraction to men. I agree the ad was fairly "neutral=".
