While romantic music plays (French crooner Sacha Distel "La Belle Vie"), one male pink stick figure gives another male pink stick figure a flower -- when their moment in the Garden of Eden is cut short by a block of text reading, "Assassinated!" in French. They run away, holding hands, as more blocks ream down on them from above -- "Stabbed!" "Criminalized!" "Pushed to suicide!"

It becomes apparent that the text is part of a giant game of Tetris in which the gay couple is trapped. While they flee, their hands are broken apart and they fend for themselves as blocks like "Marginalized!" and "Imprisoned!" separate them.

As they are finally pushed off-screen, the blocks of text fade into the question: "Isn't it the beautiful life? May 17, 2005. Global Fight Against Homophobia Day." The event was an exhibition against homophobia, and included singers, politicians, french couturier Christian Lacoix, actors and others.
