Max Mutchnick, an openly gay producer of NBC's "Will & Grace," got the show's stars to make this political ad opposing the anti-gay Proposition 22/Knight Initiative without NBC's permission.

While its popular stars may have gotten the attention of a few, their unfortunately bland delivery was uninspiring. The initiative was a limit on gay marriage, and known as the Knight Initiative for the state legislator who introduced it. The ballot initiative passed, 61% to 39%.
