A man standing on a stepladder as he decorates a Christmas tree is handed the telephone by his wife to wish his mother-in-law well. "Love you mum, bye!" She instructs him (in British dubbed voices), "Wish my mum a Merry Christmas."

Hoping to get all the holidays in, the man begins enumerating a lengthy list, "Merry Christmas, mummy! And a Happy New Year. Easter Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Grandparent's Day, Independence Day, Remembrance Day..." The narrator says that calls will be 15% cheaper, allowing more wishes. The man continues, "All Souls Day, Gay Pride Day, Give Up Smoking Day, Elvis Presley Day..."
