I would agree Alessandro, except that the "straight" version of this ad ended the same way. It's playing on the awkwardness of saying a dramatic goodbye, and then not actually leaving.

I understand Alessandro's point about how gay men might be depicted as not being able to commit but I also think the ad plays to the reality of all young people. So I think it's pretty good.

I qualified the ad as terrible because it suggests that gay men don't really mean what they say when they show affection to someone.
