Exodus Parody, Straight? Unhappy?

Members:

The "Straight? Unhappy?" ad is a parody of a billboard created by the ex-homosexual group Exodus. The original ad reads "Gay? Unhappy?" and sends onlookers to www.exodus.to. The parody directs viewers to gay.com. It was created by Justin Watt and later posted on the website www.exgaywatch.com.

According to Southern Voice Online, "Liberty Counsel, a conservative legal group representing Exodus, sent Watt and Mike Airhart of Ex-Gay Watch cease and desist letters last week asking them to remove Watt's parody from their sites."

Watt, apparently, has no intention of complying with the request. The issue debates whether the ad parody violates copyright law, but it most likely falls within the realm of freedom of speech.
