A stylish man enters his female friend’s apartment as her overnight guest leaves.

“Is he gone?” she asks, pulling the covers over her head. He sits on the bed next to her, holding a magazine.

“Don’t tell me,” he says. “Last night he looked like a Hollywood heartthrob. This morning, more of a hobbit.”

“Make it quick and painless,” she requests. Her friend responds, listing off his idea of her date.

“Okay, 9:30 you were a movie star attending a premiere.” She smiles. “At 11:30 you were a soap star,” he says, scrunching up his nose to show her decline. “And at 1 o’clock, more like her,” he says pointing to someone they obviously dislike in the magazine. The woman gasps and makes a face, then falls into her friend’s arms as they both laugh.

She beats him with a shoe as a picture of Now magazine appears. A narrator explains the content: “The latest celebrity gossip, fashion, and life.”

While the man is meant to appear slightly feminine, as her gay friend, he is not stereotyped.
