Yes on 6 for Equal Rights, Terminated: Employee Is Gay

A bald man peers over his desk in the personnel department. One after another, he tells people they are fired. When they ask why, he explains it is because the first man is black, the woman is too old, and the second man is Franco-American.

After each reason, a narrator explains: "This can't happen in Maine. It's illegal."

Then he tells a young woman that she is fired because she is a lesbian.

"But this is legal in Maine," says the narrator. "No state law prevents. Question 6 ends discrimination and gives equal rights to gays and lesbians. Vote yes on 6. Equal rights once and for all."
