In its first ads to the gay community, this one in a series of tall, skinny ads in The Advocate says, "The Democratic Party, Our party. How Congress Ranks on GLBT Issues. The bipartisan Human Rights Campaign, which funds supportive Republicans as well as Democrats, published a scorecard for Congress: Proportion of Senators and Representatives rated perfect: Democrats 72%, Republicans 2%. Proportion of Senators and Representatives rated zero: Democrats 2%, Republicans 61%."
