This video campaign was produced through a joint effect by Freedom to Marry and Servicemembers Legal Defense Network in response to the DOMA (Defense of Marriage Act). This campaign features two soldiers sitting in uniform on their bunks. Slowly, they begin to undress revealing wounds and bruises that were seemingly caused in battle. A caption appears saying “Gay and straight service members scar in the same way, but the military is forced to treat them, and their families differently because of the defense of Marriage Act.”

Interestingly, the campaign never reveals the orientation of either solider.
