The Ad Spotter says, "In my opinion this ad is very prejudiced against gays. It appeared in the female magazine Desfile in June 1996. On the top it says, "Dia dos Namorados" (Valentine's Day, celebrated in June in Brazil). And underneath that it reads, "Você não imagina do que a falta de uma Duloren é capaz" (You can't imagine what the lack of a Duloren is capable of)-- signifying (very roughly) that if women are not careful enough and don't buy a Duloren, their man will probably 'become' gay."

Indeed the ad is clearly unsympathetic. A more idiomatic translation would be "You'd never guess what the *lack* of a DuLoren might do" - and the idea underneath is clearly that it's only the lack of desirable female partners that is driving the two men in the picture to do something it is implied they wouldn't normally do. Interestingly enough, I was still living in Brazil at the time, and I remember lots of people thought it gay-friendly, just because it shows two guys kissing. Obviously, the hunk factor obliterates all else...
